Mrs. Mattie Ruth Hill, age 99, of Subligna, GA died Friday, November 14, 2014 at Dalton, GA.

Mrs. Hill was born April 25, 1915 in Subligna, GA, the daughter of the late Ab Phillips and Maude Wilson Phillips.  She was a graduate of Subligna High School.  Mrs. Hill was a member of Subligna Baptist Church.  She was the owner and operator of Blue Mountain Antiques in Dalton and Rocky Face for several years.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Perry Hill; and a son, Carey Hill.

Mrs. Hill is survived by a son, Stephen (Robin) Hill, Newnan, GA; daughter, Jennifer  (Robert) Besal; 4 Grandchildren, and 3 Great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Subligna Baptist Church.  Rev. Charles Bishop will officiate. Interment will follow in Subligna Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Keith Wilson, Ivan Wilson, Scot LaVelle, Ray Sutton, Max Cordle, and Larry Scoggins.  Honorary pallbearers will be Don Cochran, Phil Cochran, Coleman Cochran, Jr., Benny Price, and Melvin Plunkett.

Mrs. Hill will be in state from 12:15 until 1:45 p. m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Subligna Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Subligna Baptist Church Building Fund, 35 Subligna Baptist Church Road, Summerville, GA  30747.
