Jehovah (Psalms 83:18) promises a resurrection of our dead loved ones (John 6:40) and he promises to do away with tears, pain, and death in the near future. (Revelation 21:3, 4) I will keep you in my prayers.

I worked with Jan at Vocational Rehabilitation for a number of years. She was a joy to work beside. There were three of us Jan's and our desks were in the same area. When someone called out Jan, all three of us would answer. She will be missed by her friends and co-workers (her 2nd family). May you Rest in Peace, dear friend.

We are at a loss for words on how heartbroken we are over Jan. We were already living across the road when she first moved in to her home. Over the years, we didn't spend enough time, as we wish we would have, getting to know her but we knew she was a very private and independent person and wanted to respect that. I was telling her brother, John, the other night that she reminded me SO much of my mother-in-law with the way she spoke and some of her mannerisms. The first time I met her and she spoke, it was as if her voice was identical (the tone, her accent, everything) to my mother-in-law. :-) Although we didn't socialize often, my family was blessed having had her as a neighbor. She was always sweet, polite, quiet, and I know we could have called on her anytime if we had needed something. Jan will be missed and we will think about her every time we look across the street or leave out and see her house. I am sorry that we didn't reach out and do more for her.
