Mr. Thomas Jefferson “Tommy” Moore, Jr., age 72, of Summerville, GA, died Monday, March 13, 2017, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Moore was born October 13, 1944, in Trion, GA, son of the late Thomas Moore, Jr. and Georgia Covert Moore.  He graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1988.  Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Mount Vernon Mills.  Mr. Moore also enjoyed playing golf.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Moore.

Mr. Moore is survived by his son, Thomas J. Moore III; a daughter, Stephanie Jones; grandchildren, Sydney Jones, Hayley Jones, Lyndsey Jones, Madison Moore, and Kaydence Moore; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Graveside and interment services for Mr. Moore will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 16, 2017, from the West Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Moore will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 P.M. on Thursday.
