I was deeply saddened to learn of Lovett's passing. He was such a kind and helpful person. He meant so much to our family. My sincere condolences to his mother, wife, loving children (Tuffy, Tara, Kippy, Peaches, and Shaddie), step-children, and other family members. I unfortunately cannot attend the funeral, but my heart, spirit and sympathies are with you. I will forever love and remember Lovett for always being of help to my dear brother Jack (Deforest) prior to his demise. He was such an immense blessing to many people and will be greatly missed. May the Creator give you peace through His promise to comfort us (II Corinthians 1:3-4).

My heart and prayers go out to Lovett's Mother, wife, children, siblings and other family members. He was one of my favorite cousins. i remember when he use to make those truck runs to Detroit. He always had a wonderful smile and made you feel loved. I always admired and loved him. May he rest in peace with God.

It was a great shock to view his passing. I saw Melvin in 2011. I had not seen him in many years. He was helpful in contacting his relatives in Ohio regarding a potential land buy. My condolences to the family.
