Mr. Bernie Howard Haney, age 84, of LaFayette, GA, died Saturday, September 10, 2016, at LaFayette Healthcare.

Mr. Haney was born May 2, 1932, in Trion, GA, son of the late Jessie Lee and Bessie Fuller Haney.  Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Mount Vernon Mills.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Emmalene Adams Haney; and a sister, Mary Jane Haney.

Mr. Haney is survived by his son, Buddy Haney; a brother, Harold Haney; a sister, Lois Hicks; 3 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Haney will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 14, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Swanson officiating.  Interment will follow in the LaFayette Memory Gardens.

Mr. Haney will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 13, 2016.
