Rev. Curtis “Henry” Long, Jr., age 64, of Piedmont, AL, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Rev. Long was born May 31, 1953, in Dutton, AL, son of the late Curtis H. Sr. and Ethel Simpson Long. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Long; and a sister, Deloris Boyd.
Rev. Long is survived by his son, Curtis (Sandy) Long; daughters, Amanda Long and MaKayla Long; brothers, David Long, Tony Long, and Jimmy Long; sisters, Patricia Jennings and Mary Womack; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Rev. Long will be held at 2:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Wednesday, February 7, 2018, from Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Alvin Bullard and Rev. Brian Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Davis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nick Traffenstid, Rodney Womack, Marty Womack, Richard Jennings, Casey Jennings, and Stacey Boyd.
Rev. Long will be in state at Liberty Baptist Church and the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) until the hour of service on Wednesday.
