Mrs. Lynda Elrod Cochran, age 76 of Lyerly, GA passed away Friday- December 24, 2021 at Advent Health- Redmond.
Mrs. Cochran was born July 14, 1945 in Summerville, GA to the late Charles Elrod, sr. and Nera Bell Pickle Bailey. She was a homemaker who dearly loved her family and flower gardening. She was an elder at Bible Mission Christian center.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters, Rose Mary Howard and Darla Schrader.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William Cochran; daughters, Danita (Daniel) Driver, Angie (Todd) Spears, and Stacey (Jake) Parker; siblings, Eddy (Linda) Elrod, Nancy (Leonard) Schrader, and Susan (Larry) Lindsey; grandchildren, Nicholas Driver, Matthew Penson, Ryan (Christine) Driver, and Jaxon Penson; and great- grandchildren, Camron, Kadence, and Daegan Driver.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cochran will be held at 1:00 Thursday- December 30, 2021 at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Reynolds and Rev. Daniel Driver officiating. Interment will follow at Lyerly Cemetery with Donny Rutledge, Jason Rutledge, James Rutledge, Timmy Jo Rutledge, Randy Rush, and Troy Oehlson serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.
Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
