Ms. Geneva Johnson Morgan, age 84, of Trion, GA, died Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Advent Health Redmond.
Ms. Morgan was born November 22, 1937, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late Grady and Hattie Hines Johnson. She was a member of Pennville First Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Riegel.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Morgan was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy Johnson, J. W. Johnson, Gene Johnson, and Leroy Johnson; and a sister, Ann Ezell.
Survivors include her son, Steve (Patti) Henderson; sisters, Joyce Bean, Vera Brown, and Teresa Johnson; grandchildren, Brandon (Breezy) Henderson, Cassie (Joe) DeMassi; great-grandchildren, Stormy Henderson, Rainie Henderson, Misti Henderson, Leigha Henderson, Keith Henderson, Haylee Henderson, Sterling Rutledge, Keyra Rutledge, and Milia Rutledge; great-great-grandchildren, Ozias Neal and Reagan Neal.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Colbert officiating. Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Stanley Brown, Johnny Pledger, Jeff Lee, Roy Gary, Sterling Rutledge, and Kawyer Dennis. Honorary pallbearers will be Joyce Pledger, Marie Gary, Dave Huston, Jean Hogue, Patricia Johnston, Patti Lee, and the members of the Ladies Sunday School Class of Pennville First Baptist Church.
Ms. Morgan will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
