Ms. Donna Jean Stallings, age 67, of Summerville, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at her residence.
Ms. Stallings was born December 30, 1954, in Sulphur, OK, daughter of the late James Byron and Dolly Imogene Summers Byron. She was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith and was retired from the Chattooga County Board of Education. She had been employed in the restaurant service and custodial service industries.
Ms. Stallings obtained certifications as a bookkeeper and stick electrode welder, certified nursing assistant, cardiac technician. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting and crocheting, and spending time visiting friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Guidry; and a great-grandson, Khristopher Isaiah Hazel.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie (Mark) Stoker, Samantha (Wayne) Reece; siblings, Jane Kirk, Barbara Keeler, Vera Mink, Brenda Roman, and Darrell “John Steel” Byron; grandchildren, Ashley (Timothy) Eaton, Chris (Cassie) Stoker, Kenzie Stoker, Jordan Hazel, Luke Gillis, Lance Gillis, and Jada Hazel; and special friends, Monte Lucas and Cathy Stancil.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
