Mrs. Wilma Beth Fincher Thompson, age 83, of Summerville, GA, died Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Winthrop Health and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Thompson was born August 31, 1940, in Rome, GA, daughter of the late Arthur Linton Fincher and Ruby Patrick Fincher.  She was a member of the Church of God, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Kroger. She enjoyed flower gardening, spending time with her family, singing with her husband & Merle, singing in the North Rome Church of God choir, as well as organizing their youth choir.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Thompson; sons, Greg Thompson, Michael Thompson; brothers, Jack Fincher, Ben Fincher; and a grandson, Matthew Lee Thompson.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Karen Thompson; brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Glenda Fincher; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Thompson will take place at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 30 at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Bishop officiating. 

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until the service hour.
