Mrs. Wilma Rape Obituary

Mrs. Wilma Jean Rape, age 96, of Cloudland, GA, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Oakview Health and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Rape was born July 3, 1925, in Wheelright, KY, daughter of the late Lonnie and Flora Baisden Vaughn.  She was a homemaker and a member of the World Wide Church of God.  Mrs. Rape was a loving mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Rape; brothers, Lonnie Vaughn, Jr., William “Bill” Vaughn; and a granddaughter, Julie Ann Rape.

Survivors include sons, John Paul Rape, David M. (Barbara) Rape, Joe (Mary) Rape, Jr.; sister, Betty Cates; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Graveside and interment services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Mount Olive Cemetery with Chaplain Steve Burns officiating.  Pallbearers will be Luke Rape, John Hensley, Jon Farmer, Josh Farmer, Kyle Rape, and Daniel Cates.

Mrs. Rape will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday.

Due to current community health concerns, face masks and the use of hand sanitizer will be requested for anyone attending the services.
