Mrs. Ruth (Chamlee) Collette

Mrs. Ruth Collette, age 93, of Trion, GA, died Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at Oakview Health and Rehabilitation. 

Mrs. Collette was born November 16, 1926, in Henagar, AL, daughter of the late William and Nellie Bunch Chamlee.  She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Trion First Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collette was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Wesley “Joe” Collette, Jr.; 9 brothers; 2 sisters; 1 grandson; and 1 great-grandson.

Survivors include her sons, Jimmy (Teresa) Collette, Johnny Collette, Joe (Jackie) Collette, and Jody Collette; a daughter, Marcia (Steve) Smithson; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services for Mrs. Collette will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, October 15, 2020, at Greenhills Memory Gardens with Rev. Casey Bramlett officiating.  Pallbearers will be Wess Collette, Brian Collette, Jamie Collette, Jeffrey Collette, Johnathan Collette.

Mrs. Collette will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 P.M. Thursday.

The Collette family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
