Mrs. Patty Lou (Boyd) Barnes

Mrs. Patty Lou Barnes, age 82, of Summerville, GA, died Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

 Mrs. Barnes was born January 18, 1938, in Chesterfield, AL, daughter of the late Samuel Roy and Dovie Ruth Cavin Boyd.  She was a member of Berryton Baptist Church and was involved with the Ladies’ Sunday School Class.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Best Manufacturing.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her son, Chad Barnes; brothers, Alfred Boyd, Billy Boyd, Roy Boyd, and Jerry Boyd; and a sister, Mary Ruth Broyles.

Survivors include her son, Tony Barnes; brothers, Gordon (Judy) Boyd, Ronnie Joe (Teresa) Boyd; grandchildren, Raygan Blane Barnes, Micah Bailee Jones, Joshua (Tiffany) Barnes, and Jodi (Jon) Byers; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Barnes, Amberly Barnes, Cindy Barnes, Nickolas Barnes, and Journee Byers.

 Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 20, 2020, at AMI Cemetery with Rev. Mickey Skates and special friend, Wayne McArthur officiating.  Active pallbearers will be Tony Barnes, Josh Barnes, Ronnie Boyd, Gordon Boyd, Stacy Boyd, Brandon Croy, and Wayne King.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies’ Sunday School Class of Berryton Baptist Church.

 Visitation will be held privately.

The Barnes family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
