Mrs. Mary "Nell" Dover Obituary

Mrs. Mary Avanell “Nell” Dover, age 82, of Summerville, GA, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at her residence.

Mrs. Dover was born August 26, 1937, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Finn Monroe and Cora Lee Keith Gayton. She was a faithful member of Ridgeway Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Kmart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Thomas Robert Dover; sisters, Hazel Bradley, Florence Bass, and Sybil Dover; a brother, Roland Gayton; and brother-in-law, Ben Day.

Survivors include her sons, Gregory Todd Dover, Thomas Randy Dover; daughter-in-law, Wanda Marsh; sister, Betty Day; grandchildren, Amy Dover, Kelly Dover, and Nick and Haley Dover; great-grandchildren, Levi Mason, Coltyer Parish, Cayden Parish, Carson Parish, Cayleb Parish, Daniel Dover, Ava Dover, and Allie Dover.

Due to the current health concerns for our community, visitation and graveside services for Mrs. Dover will be held privately for the immediate family only. Rev. Damon Perry and Rev. Ricky Biddle will officiate. Interment will also be held privately at Greenhills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Nick Dover, Cayden Parish, Ladon Trammell, B. J. Eleam, Robbie Dover, and Gene Hampton.
