Mrs. Mary Lou (Flemming) Martin

Mrs. Mary Lou Fleming Martin, age 95, of LaFayette, GA, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Martin was born December 26, 1926, in Chattoogaville, GA, daughter of the late John Clifford Fleming and Flora Lucille Mobbs Fleming.  She was Baptist by faith, and prior to her retirement, was employed with LaFayette Manufacturing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Gilbert Martin; a daughter, Sharron Ann Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Irene (John) Ratliff; and a nephew, Donnie Ratliff.

Survivors include her son, Greg Smith; daughters, Sandra (Lonnie) Lee, Paula McNeese, and Jennifer Smith; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; nephew, Butch (Sara) Ratliff; and special friends, Sonny Scoggins and family, Alan Scoggins and family, and Bud Carnes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 23, 2022, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Pam Johnson and Rev. Zach Fitzpatrick officiating.  Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons and include Richie Lee, Danny Lee, Zach Lee, Randy McNeese, Andrew Venn, and Aaron Venn.  Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Ratliff and Jim Reece.

Mrs. Martin will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Wednesday.
