Mrs. Marvaline Ruth (Dyer) Cook

Mrs. Marvaline Ruth Cook went to her Heavenly home on Friday, December 13, 2024, and now rejoices in the Kingdom of God.

In Heaven, she has been reunited with the love of her life, H.W. “Herby” Cook and their infant daughter, Shelia R. Cook.  Their son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Anne Cook, remain on this earth to cherish her memory and await the day they will all meet again in Heaven.

“Mama Cook” also leaves behind her two granddaughters, Brittany Gail Cook and Meghan Leigh Cook (Anderson) whom she adored and loved.  Other survivors include her sister-in-law, Rebecca Dyer, several nieces and nephews, special friends Wayne and Jill Durham, and many more loving and kind friends.

In addition to her husband and daughter, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Oscar and Addie Mae Barksdale Dyer, brothers, Steve and Jerry Dyer, sisters, Jennine Smith and Lisa Chandler.

Private graveside services and interment for Mrs. Cook were previously held at Lyerly Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank her friends and caregivers who provided Mother with friendship, laughter, and love, especially in her later years.
