Mrs. Martha Jo (McDonald) Drake

Mrs. Martha Jo Drake, age 77, of Cedar Bluff, AL, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at her residence.

Mrs. Drake was born March 1, 1941, in Centre, AL, daughter of the late James Hamilton and Grace Beatrice Warren McDonald.  She was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed in the textiles industry.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Eugene “Bud” Drake.

Mrs. Drake is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jeff Blalock; a brother, Ronnie McDonald; sisters, Helen Cranmore and Becky Brown; grandchildren, Bryan Williams, Andrew Williams, and William Elrod; and a special friend, Billy Knight.

Funeral services for Mrs. Drake will be held at 11:00 A.M. (E.S.T.) Saturday, June 23, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Hawkins and Rev. Leo Crane officiating.  Interment will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Ricky Edwards, Blake Thrasher, John McDonald, Gerald Highfield, Terry “T” Hawkins, and Seth Snider.

Mrs. Drake will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Friday, June 22, 2018.
