Mrs. Maggie Lee Pearsey Canada age 89 of Gaylesville, AL passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Canada was born September 1, 1933 in Jamestown, AL to the late Milton and Nora Lewis Pearsey. She was retired from Mohawk Industries and was a lifelong member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She loved her family, flower gardening, and cooking.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Auburn L. Canada; sons, Gary & Ricky Canada; along with several siblings.

Survivors include sons, Timothy (Karen) Canada, and Jerry (Karen) Canada; daughters, Diane (Paul) Reynolds, and Nancy Buckhead; brother, Kenneth Pearsey; sister, Joan McKelvey; 12 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Canada will be held at 3:00 Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Briggs King, Rev. Ronald Berry, and Rev Chris Hearne officiating. Interment will follow at Moseley Cemetery with grandsons and great- grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1:00 (EST) until the service hour.
