Mrs. Kathy Elaine Godfrey, age 62, of Summerville, GA, died Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at her residence.

Mrs. Godfrey was born June 10, 1957, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late Charlie Wayne Prince and Kathleen Hunter Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Grands Who Care. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Deloris Prince; brother, James Edward “Eddie” Prince; and a nephew, Justin Godfrey.

Survivors include her husband, Mitch Ward; sons, Joshua Hewitt, Jacob Hewitt, Bradon “Bama” Butts; daughters, Felinia Butts, Kerrie Vaughn; sisters, Linda (Ricky) Howell, Barbara (Randall) Burnette, Dorothy (Marvin) Hartline, and Donna (Drake) Pershau; special daughter, Angie Fralick; special caregiver, Jennifer Burnette; and several nieces and nephews.

Due to the current restrictions and health concerns for our community, visitation and services for Mrs. Godfrey will be held privately.
