Mrs. Jimmie Sue Smith

Mrs. Jimmie Sue Smith, age 93, of Menlo, GA, died Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was born October 16, 1928, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Claudie Forest and Velma Josephine Deering Green.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Charlie Smith; daughter, Patricia Ann Langston Smith; son, Charles Kenneth Smith; grandchildren, Cynthia Kay Langston Johnson, Jimmie Josephine Langston Burrage, and Tony Dwight Smith, Jr.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tony Dwight and Gloria Elaine Smith; daughter, Peggy Sue Smith Aldridge; grandchildren, Margie Dabney, Claudia April Fowler, Scotty Alan Langston, Colby Lamar Baty, Tessica Nicole Bullock, Elizabeth Sue Anne Maddux, Charlsie Nicole Dodd, and Kirby Robert Smith; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 13, 2021, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Sutton officiating.  Interment will follow in the Cloudland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Chase Freeman, Tristan Smith, Lanson Smith, Allen Langston, Dakota Dodd, Bryce Tidmore, Cayden Dodd, and Chris Fowler.  Honorary pallbearers will be Micah Maddux, Scotty Langston, Colby Baty, Dwight Bullock, and Zach Brown.

Mrs. Smith will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
