Mrs. Edna M. (Loyd) Guinn

Mrs. Edna Mae Guinn, age 84, of Trion, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Guinn was born July 30, 1934, in Marion County, TN, daughter of the late John Thomas and Rachel Smith Loyd.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Pennville Church of Christ.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Guinn; brothers, Joseph Loyd and Charles Loyd; and a sister, Nell Reed.

Mrs. Guinn is survived by her son, John David Guinn; daughters and sons-in-law, Sara (Grady) Schrader, Peggy (Jerry) Wilson; brother and sister-in-law, Bill (Janice) Loyd; sister-in-law, Stella (George) Fritz; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Guinn will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 4, 2018, from the Pennville Church of Christ with Min. Robbie Eversole officiating.  Interment will follow in Lyerly Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be grandsons and include Randy Wilson, Lee Wilson, Jimmy Westbrooks, Tim Westbrooks, Brad Suggs, and Ernie Schrader.  Carl Gentery will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Mrs. Guinn will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday.
