Mrs. Dorothy Frances (Cordle) Austin

Mrs. Dorothy Frances Austin, age 91, of Summerville, GA, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Oakview Health and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Austin was born April 24, 1927, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late Robert Lee and Eva Lula Mae Skates Cordle.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Summerville First Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Young; and a daughter, Doris Edwards.

Mrs. Austin is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Mary Young, Nancy and Joseph Monaghan; brother, James Cordle; sister, Lula Mae James; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Austin will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 15, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will be held privately at Greenhills Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Austin will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, May 14, 2018.
