Mrs. Deborah Annette “Debbie” Ratliff Austin, age 62, of Summerville, GA, died Friday, May 28, 2021, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Austin was born March 20, 1959, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Billy Bradford and Barbara Jean Love Ratliff. She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church, and had been employed with Roper and Best Manufacturing. She was also a member of the Best Silver Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis “Butch” Austin.
Survivors include her son, Jeffery (Krista) Hill; daughters, Jessica (Shawn) Allmon, Heather Hill; step-sons, Scott (Sherolyn) Austin, Kevin (Robin) Austin; brother, Allen (Melanie) Ratliff; sister, Gladys (Ronnie) Watkins; 9 grandchildren; and many “fur babies.”
Graveside and interment services for Mrs. Austin will be held at 4:30 P.M. Sunday, May 30, 2021, at AMI Cemetery with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating. Active pallbearers will be Blake Austin, Scott Austin, Phillip Housch, Devin Allmon, Shawn Allmon, and Hunter Hollingsworth. Honorary pallbearers will be Kathi Cook, Lanell Ponder, and Rob Ponder.
Mrs. Austin will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Sunday.
The Austin family, along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions for the COVID pandemic set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings limitations including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
