Mrs. Bobbie Day Obituary

Mrs. Bobbie J. Day, age 87, of Trion, GA, died Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Pruitt Health Care of Rome.

Mrs. Day was born July 28, 1933, in LaFayette, GA, daughter of the late Clarence Earl and Pearl Neeley Jackson.  She was a member of Trion Heights Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills where she was also a member of the Quarter Century Club.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Day was preceded in death by her husband, James “Shorty” Day; a son, James “Mikey” Day; a daughter, Karen Brooks; brothers, Walter Jackson, Bryan Hall Jackson, Billy Von Jackson; and sisters, Delores Grigsby and Velula Gentry.

Survivors include her daughters, Tina (Michael) Morris, Stephanie (Chris) Harris; 3 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside and interment services for Mrs. Day will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 23, 2021, at West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Vernon Johnson officiating.  Pallbearers will be Jeremy Wilson, Jo Cromer, Jackson Harris, Cordell Harris, Conley Harris, Dawson Glenn, and Caden Wilson.

Visitation will be held privately.

The Day family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home reminds anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
