Mr. Wilton Eugene Snipes, Jr.

Mr. Wilton Eugene Snipes, Jr., age 55, of Summerville, GA, died Monday, November 23, 2020, at his home.

Mr. Snipes was born December 11, 1964, in Augusta, GA, son of Linda Laney Wooten and the late Wilton Eugene Snipes, Sr.  He was employed with Mohawk Industries prior to being disabled.  Mr. Snipes was a kind person and used to love to sing and play the guitar.  He liked to help the elderly and he was always so good to his grandparents.  He will be missed terribly.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas C. and Rachel Laney, Ina Mae and Willy Snipes; his step-father, Billy Paul Wooten; uncles, Wally Laney and Raymond Snipes; and an aunt, Verdice Laney.

Survivors include his mother, Linda Wooten; brothers, Roger Lamar (Amy) Snipes, Buddy Snipes; sister, Connie Snipes; 2 uncles; 2 aunts; several cousins; and special friend and roommate, Mary Cloud.

Graveside services for Mr. Snipes will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Min. Bill Thomas officiating.  Pallbearers will be Jerry Porter, Tyler Laney, Jeremy Burke, Jason Hannah, Dustin Hannah, and Kevin Vaughn.

Visitation will be held privately.

The Snipes family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
