Mr. Willie Medford Gass, age 82 of Menlo, GA passed away Saturday- May 8, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Gass was born March 14, 1939 in Valley Head, AL to the late Bill and Charlsie Chapman Gass. He served in the National Guard and was a member of Chesterfield Baptist Church. He was retired from Best Manufacturing and was a member of the Best Silver club.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Hugh Gass and Gene Gass; sisters, Betty Foster and Elouise Melling; and granddaughter, Scarlett Gass.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Gass; children, Mike Gass, Kay (Scott) Pope, and Julie (Chris Smith) Hunter; grandchildren, Alisha Brock, Tessa Brock, Lee Gass, Kayla Price, Taylor Hunter, Dalton Hunter, Luke Gass, Courtney Trammel; 10 great-grandchildren; and a 14 year old dachshund named Toby.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Gass will be held at 2:00 Monday- May 10 at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Bishop Officiating. Interment will follow at AMI Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Chris Lee, Taylor Hunter, Dalton Hunter, Lee Gass, Luke Gass, and Kadian Lee. Honerary pallbearers will be members of Chesterfield Baptist church and the Best Silver Club.
Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 at Mason Funeral Home.
