Mr. William Franklin Kirk

Mr. William Franklin Kirk, age 83, of Trion, GA, died Monday, October 23, 2023, at Advent Health Redmond.

Mr. Kirk was born May 22, 1941, in Trion, GA, son of the late Clyde and Kelly Eilen Bowers Kirk.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam.  Mr. Kirk was also a member of the National Rifle Association and Gunsmiths of America.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kirk was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Kirk.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Diane Burrage Kirk; son, William Walter (Courtney Amanda) Kirk; a sister, Jean (Terry) Pope; and grandchildren, Seth Kirk and Haley Kirk.

Mr. Kirk will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

Graveside and interment services with military honors will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 30, 2023, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
