Mr. William Christopher “Chris” Carmon, age 36, of Gaylesville, AL, passed away June 16, 2022, at his residence. Chris was born December 1, 1985, in Floyd County, GA, the son of William Noel and Teresa Jo Davison Carmon. His profession was collision repair and car restoration. He loved books, classic cars, ’60s and ’70s music, and, most of all, friends and family. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, William Noel and Jo D. Carmon, and his sister, Leah Carmon (Josh) Bates.
He is also survived by chosen family Rickey and Kay Chumbler and godmother Brenda Henderson.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents William A. (Sam) and Verdia Townsend Carmon and maternal grandparents Robert Leon (Bob) and Sue Banister Davison.
Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. (EST) Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Stanley Koonce and Rev. Jay McGaughy officiating. Active pallbearers will be Justin Koonce, Chip Conner, Taylor Chesnut, Kamdyn Kellett, Daniel Jackson, and Matthew Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Eaton and Michael Zuber.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home.
Family and friends are asked to meet at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. (EST) time Saturday.
