Mr. Wilburn Shepherd Obituary

Mr. Wilburn S. Shepherd, age 77, of Summerville, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Shepherd was born March 11, 1943, in Summerville, GA, son of the late Henry and Geneva Hammock Shepherd.  He was a member of the West Fifth Street Church of Christ was retired from Lockheed Martin Marietta Corporation.  Mr. Shepherd was also a veteran of the United States Navy.

Along with his parents Mr. Shepherd is preceded in death by a daughter, Jacques Shepherd; brother, David L. Shepherd; and a sister, Evelyn Starr.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Doris Shepherd; son, Tremayne Chadwick (Debra) Shepherd; daughters, Sonia (Arthur) Lawson, Kerry Shepherd; brother, James (Doris) Shepherd; sisters, Helen O’neal, Betty Covington, Marcia (Ronald) Bennett, Romonia Shepherd; sister-in-law, Verdine Shepherd; brothers-in-law, Jessie Bankston, Mactine Bankston; special family friends, Debbie Walker and Colby Smith; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; special nieces, Candace Moten and Brandy Williams.

Visitation will be held privately for the immediate family only with Bro. John Lewis officiating.

The Shepherd family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home reminds anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
