Mr. Virgil Hartline Obituary

Mr. Virgil Leo Hartline, age 73, of Summerville, GA, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Floyd Medical Center.

Mr. Hartline was born November 24, 1947, in Valley Head, AL, son of Gladys Brewster Hartline and the late Homer Hartline.  He was a member of Sonrise Community Church and prior to his retirement, was employed as a truck driver with Carriage Industries.  He was also a Sergeant in the United States Army and served in Vietnam.  Mr. Hartline enjoyed camping, playing guitar, and doing yard work.  He was also an avid Tennessee Football fan.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brothers, Howard Gene Hartline and Jimmie Hartline.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Dooley Hartline; sons, Randy (Becky) Hartline, Judson Hartline; daughters, Donna (Kenny) Hampton, Candy (Anky) Fulmer, and JoAnna Hartline; mother, Gladys Hartline; brother, Charles (Hazel) Hartline; sister, Donna (Ricky) Busby; sister-in-law, Trudy Hartline.  Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 6, 2021, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Wells officiating.  Interment will follow in Lyerly Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Hartline, Jeromie Hartline, Paul Adam Busby, Hogan Hartline, Casey Hartline, and Ricky Busby.  Honorary pallbearers will be Anky Fulmer, Kenny Hampton, the Employees of North Georgia Home Health, and the Employees of Floyd Medical Center I.C.U.

Mr. Hartline will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
