Mr. Roy Eugene Robertson

Mr. Roy Eugene Robertson, age 85 of Summerville, GA passed away Saturday – June 5, 2021 at this residence.

Mr. Robertson was born April 7, 1936 in Decatur, GA to the late Joe and Avie Talton Robertson. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and loved the beach and ocean.

He is preceded in death by his wives, Betty Jean Robertson and Dorothy Jean Robertson; son, Roy Allen Robertson; granddaughter, Beverly Star Cook; grandsons, Robert Allen Robertson and Brian Vogel; brother, Richard Robertson; and sisters, Helene Robertson, Mary Jackson, and Joan Benedict.

Survivors include his children, Clay Robertson, Russell Robertson, Michael Robertson, Greg (Connie) Tschudy, Edward (Barbara) Gazaway, Beverly (Tim) Houston, Cheryl (Glenn) Vogel, and Annette (Rick) Lazenby; sister, Patricia Mullin, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great- grandchild, former wife, Betty Ann Bailey; and special friends Pat Kayler, Cherry Dozier-Oliver, and Danny Williams.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Robertson will be Wednesday – June 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Rev. David Hayes and Rev. Glen Vogel officiating. . Inurnment will take place at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, GA at a later date.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Solid Rock Baptist Church, in Trion, GA.

The Robertson family, along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home, reminds anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
