Mr. Phillip Bryan Nixon, age 57, of Gaylesville, AL, died Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at his residence.
Mr. Nixon was born December 18, 1962, in Trion, GA, son of the late James Cordell and Hazel Louise Smith Nixon. He was a member of Gaylesville First Baptist Church and was retired from Maples Enterprises.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Nixon was preceded in death by his siblings, Carolyn Wesson, Jo Spears, Dorothy Baugh, James David Nixon, Mary Nell Joyner, Richard Nixon, Betty Ann Beckner, and Timothy Nixon.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Nixon; son, John (Kelsie) McDonald; daughters, Lindsey (Brian) Hankins, Sherry (David) Broome, Sonya (Jeff) Edwards, and Sienna Hall; brothers, Mike (Linda) Nixon, Anthony (Tina) Nixon, and Larry (Rose) Nixon; a sister, Rita (Larry) Brock; special granddaughter, Reese Willingham and 10 other grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Jessie and Marty Corbitt.
Memorial services for Mr. Nixon will be held at 3:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Sunday, November 8, 2020, at Gaylesville First Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Nixon and Rev. David Broome officiating.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 2:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) until the hour of service on Sunday at Gaylesville First Baptist Church.
The Nixon family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
