It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Lovette Walker, who passed away peacefully yet unexpectedly Saturday- March 20, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Walker was born and raised in Menlo, GA. He resided in Summerville, GA and prior to retirement was a professional car detailer for over 30 years. He was well respected in his community and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Walker; and his father, Billy Allmond.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Walker; son Shannon (Niiela Shropshire) Walker; daughters, Brooke Watson, Jodeci Walker, Jakerria (Kedrick Jordan) Walker, and Jakyia Walker; grandchildren, Shatavian (Tae) Walker, Alijah (Nuk Nuk) Watson, and Jordan (Lil Joe) Shropshire; brothers, John (Samantha Allgood) Walker, and Scott Walker; sisters, Joyce Walker, Patricia Walker, and Debbie Perry; brother-in-law, Jeff (Gail) Webb; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family; along with special niece Leslie Hudgins; great nieces Amiyah Hudgins, Kailyn Hudgins, and Arianna Hudgins; and special great-nephew Adian Allgood.
Graveside and interment services to celebrate the life of Mr. Walker will be held Friday at 3:00 PM at Summerville Cemetery with Bishop VT Harden officiating. Active pallbearers will be Adrain Hudgins, John Fain, Kedrick Jordan, Eddie Watkins, Mark Whatley, and Tim Hampton. Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Groce, Brandon Watson, and Mario Jones.
Visitation will be Friday from 1:30 – 2:30 at Mason Funeral home with limited building capacity due to COVID-19 guidelines.
The Walker family, along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings limitations including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
