Mr. Leonard Calvin Crane

Mr. Leonard Calvin Crane, age 71, of Gaylesville, AL, died Sunday, July 12, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Crane was born September 29, 1948, in Fort Payne, AL, son of the late Leonard C. and Ruby N. Gamble Crane.  He was Church of God by faith, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Crane; sisters, Barbara Abbot and Denise Eldridge.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Smith Crane; son, Wayne Crane; daughters, Regina (Scott) Odell, Teresa (Ricky) Calaway; a brother, Dennis Crane; and grandson, Dakota Crane.

Graveside services for Mr. Crane will be held at 1:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Union Hill “Needmore” Cemetery with Rev. Sanford DeBerry officiating.  Pallbearers will be Ricky Calaway, Dakota Crane, Michael Crane, and Rondy Gamble.

Visitation will be held privately.

The Crane family, along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home, encourage anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings.
