Mr. Lee Reed

Mr. Lee Reed, age 68, of Summerville, GA, died Sunday, April 19, 2021, at Redmond Medical Center.  

Mr. Reed was born February 11, 1953, in LaFayette, GA, son of the late Ben Joe and Robbie Nell Clements Reed.  He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and was a veteran of the Tennessee National Guard.   He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his garden and greenhouse.  Mr. Reed was also a member of the Chattooga County Young Farmer Association and was a founding member of the Subligna Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gail Shields Reed; sons, Corey (Paula) Reed, Aaron (Valerie) Reed; a sister, Glenda (Ronnie) Millican; grandchildren, Abby Reed, Emma Reed, Luke Reed, and Arliss Nelms; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Reed will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Baird officiating.  Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Jeff Owings, Adam Shields, Jeff Mahan, Kennith Mosley, Joe Millican, and Greg Millican.  Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Simmons, Alan Scoggins, Jimmy Hix, and Dale Housch.

Mr. Reed will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the hour of service on Wednesday.
