Mr. Justin Owens Obituary

Mr. Justin Alexander Owens, age 25, of Rome, GA, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Mr. Owens was born May 11, 1994, in Lauderdale, MS, son of Joe Ray Owens and the late Glenda Faye Harris Taylor.  He was a 2013 graduate of Chattooga High School where he played the trumpet in the High School Band.  Mr. Owens was self-employed as a computer technician.  Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Faye Harris Taylor; grandmothers, Willie Lou Owens and Ethel Harris.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted father and step-mother, Joe and Annie Owens; fiancé, Joelisa McCutchins; brothers, Joseph Owens, Sylvester Taylor III, Antonio Wooten, and Janthan Tyrone Wooten; sisters, Kizzie Owens Wilson, Melanie Owens, Shonda Taylor, Angie Miller, and Lashuna Miller; aunts, Marie Harris, Lois Jean Earnest, and Lisa Simmons; uncles, Willie Lee Harris, and Wille J. Owens, Jr.; as well as several cousins and friends.

Due to the current health concerns for our community, visitation and funeral services for Mr. Owens will be held privately with Bishop V.T. Harden officiating.  A video of the funeral service will be posted on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/masonfh. Interment will be held at a later date in the Donald Rest Cemetery in Philadelphia, MS.
