Mr. John Carlton Simmons

Mr. John Carlton Simmons, age 76, of Trion, GA, died Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Advent Health Redmond.

Mr. Simmons was born October 5, 1947, in Rome, GA, son of the late James Thomas “Tommy” Simmons and Julia Ethel Stansell Simmons.  He was Baptist by faith and was a self-employed mechanic.  He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Broyles Simmons; a son, Wayne Simmons; siblings, Cynthia Ann Johnson, Joyce Himes, Buddy Simmons, and Dorothy Sensenbaugh.

Survivors include his son, James Simmons; and a brother, Robert (Brenda) Simmons.

In accordance with his wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
