Mr. Joel Clayton Thomas

Mr. Joel Clayton “Jody” Thomas, Jr., age 76, of Summerville, GA, died Sunday, November 8, 2020, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Thomas was born October 24, 1944, in Trion, GA, son of the late Joel Clayton and Amy Jo Cordle Thomas.  Prior to his retirement, he was employed in the used automobile industry.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by sons, Carlos Thomas and Tommy Suits.

Survivors include sons, Chris Thomas and Clayton Thomas; brother, Gary W. Thomas; sister, Nancy A. Hogue; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Graveside services for Mr. Thomas will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Greenhills Memory Gardens.

There will be no visitation.

The Thomas family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
