Mr. Jimmy Ray Long

Mr. Jimmy Ray Long, age 66, of Lyerly, GA, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Long was born September 2, 1955, in Trion, GA, son of the late Curtis Henry and Ethel Simpson Long.  He was Baptist by faith, and prior to his retirement, was employed with the Town of Lyerly.

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica (Michael) Cabe; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; and grandchildren, Destiny Cabe, Tyler Roulane, and Joshua Roulane.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, July 28, 2022, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Kevin J. Norton officiating.  Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Stacey Boyd, Rodney Womack, Robert Battles, Richard Jennings, J.R. Hughes, and Jason Shields.  Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Michael Hughes, Lamar Pledger, and Harold Ragland.

Mr. Long will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Thursday.
