Mr. Jerry Ricketts Obituary

Mr. Jerry Quail Ricketts, age 81, of Summerville, GA, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Ricketts was born August 1, 1940, in Menlo, GA, son of the late Gordon and Annie Ruth Quail Ricketts. He was Baptist by faith, and prior to his retirement, was employed with the City of Summerville. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy and a member and Chaplain with the V.F.W.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jerri Lynn Ricketts; siblings, Helen Norton, Martha Warren, Claude Ricketts, Hugh Ricketts, Bud Ricketts, Joe Ricketts, and Bobby Ricketts.

Survivors include his daughter, Sonya Ricketts; brother, Jimmy Ricketts; sisters, Lelia Williams and Sarah Thompson; special friend and faithful caregiver, Ann Strawn; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held at 12:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the Chattooga Senior Center.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Chattooga Senior Center or the charity of your choice.
