Mr. Hugh Goodwin Tucker

Mr. Hugh Goodwin Tucker, age 71, of Summerville, GA, died Saturday, March 16, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Tucker was born April 6, 1952, in Summerville, GA, son of the late John Andrew Tucker and Agnes Thomas Tucker.  He attended the Pennville Community Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed as a Counselor with the State of Georgia.  Mr. Tucker was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by siblings, Maxine (Melvin) Brown, Robert Tucker, Bonnie Smith, Gail Tucker; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Shaver.

Survivors include his brother, John Thomas (Linda) Tucker; a sister, Delaine “Dee” Tucker Shaver; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside and interment services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Pennville Community Church Cemetery with Bro. Jon Davis officiating.  Pallbearers will be David Owens, Gary Abernathy, Roger Owens, Matt Tucker, and Samuel Wysong.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 1:30 P.M. until the service hour on Tuesday.
