Mr. Houston Olon Smith

Mr. Houston Olon Smith, age 63, of Menlo, GA, died Monday, August 18, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Smith was born September 11, 1961, in Fort Payne, AL, son of the late Jesse Lorain “Bo” Smith and Carolyn Sue Smith.  He was Baptist by faith, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Mohawk Industries.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Smith; sister, Shelia Meadows; brother, Jackie Smith; and sister-in-law, Carol Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Smith; daughter, Heather (Joe) Long; brother, Robert Smith; sisters, Tracy (Joe) Burt, Tina Smith, Melinda Miller; and Chasity Smith; grandchildren, Juliette, Terri, Elizabeth, Wesley Xavier, Jayeden, and Maleigh.

A memorial service for Mr. Smith will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Mt Olive.  A reception will follow at the Cloudland Fire Hall.
