Mr. Frank “June Bug” “Blue Bird” Crane, age 76, of Summerville, GA, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at his Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Crane was born December 17, 1944, in Cedar Bluff, AL, son of the late Leroy and Lena Wilkins Crane. He was a member of Berryton Faith Temple and was a self-employed truck driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Magdalene Sims Crane; and a daughter, Mary Ann Whittle.
Survivors include his daughter, Charlotte Carroll (John Woodruff); sisters, Suzie “Sarah” Crane, Mamie Crane (Roger) Johnston; 8 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, September 27, 2021, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Mann and Rev. Jason Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Rape, Frankie McDaniel, Delbert Patty, Ricky Sims, Bill Hubbard, and Danny Sims.
Mr. Crane will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Monday.
Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
