Mr. Eugene Forrest Ellenburg, age 80, of Trion, GA, died Saturday, December 9, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Ellenburg was born August 5, 1943, son of the late Robert Cleveland and Verdie Forrest Ellenburg.  He was a member of Teloga Baptist Church and was a retired mechanic where he owned and operated Ellenburg’s Garage.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Ellenburg; and second wife, Peggy Sue Ellenburg.

Survivors include his sons, Robert Eugene (Judy) Ellenburg, Jeffrey Ellenburg; special friend, Brenda Gilmer; grandchildren, Beth Blackwell, Trina Elliott, Trent Hall, Allen Ellenburg, Nic Ellenburg, Connor Ellenburg, and Jaxon Ellenburg; great-grandchildren, Austin Byers, Jake Byers, Haley Byers, Caleb Blackwell, Ezra Ellenburg, Barrett Ellenburg, and Wyatt Ellenburg.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 11, 2023, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Weaver officiating.  Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Allen Ellenburg, Nic Ellenburg, Connor Ellenburg, Jaxon Ellenburg, Austin Byers, and Jake Byers.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Teloga Baptist Church.

Mr. Ellenburg will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Sunday.
