Mr. Douglas "Doug" Edwin Lassetter

Mr. Douglas Edwin Lassetter, age 57, of Lyerly, GA, passed away Saturday- May 8, 2021, in LaFayette, GA. 

Mr. Lassetter was born August 26, 1963, in Douglasville, GA, son of Barbara Ann Agan Young and the late Edwin Douglas Lassetter.  He was Baptist by faith and was employed in the carpet industry.  He was also a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed drawing.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Lassetter and Dewayne Lassetter; grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.

Mr. Lassetter is survived by his daughters, Holly Lynn Lassetter, Katelyn Lassetter; mother, Barbara Young; sister, Sherrie (Wayne) Dunaway; grandchildren, Bryson Ward, Brantlee Ward, Blane Ward, and Baylor Tidmore; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Mr. Lassetter will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Subligna Cemetery with Rev. Dewayne Teague and Rev. Danny Agan officiating.  Pallbearers will be Wayne Dunaway, David Lassetter, Jr., and the grandchildren.

Mr. Lassetter will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday.

The Lassetter family, along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions for the COVID pandemic set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings limitations including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
