Mr. Charlie W. "Cougar" Everett

Mr. Charlie “Cougar” Everett, age 76 of Summerville, GA passed away Monday- August 10, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Everett was born September 23, 1943 in Chattooga County, GA to the late Noel Wilson & Coraine Touchtone Everett. He was of the Baptist faith and loved to write songs.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Laura Faye Everett; second wife, Linda Wigley; daughter, Melissa Everett; and brother, Clint Everett.

Survivors include his step-sons, Lamar Wigley, Jerry (Faith) Wigley, and Tony (Charlene) Wigley; step-daughter, Sherry (Farrell) Hines; brother, John Everett; sister, Alice Cox; 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren also survive.

Graveside and interment services to celebrate the life of Mr. Everett will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday- August 12 at West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Wigley, Jesse Wigley, John Everett, Kevin Treadaway, Tom Everett, Mason Everett, and Jared Wigley.

Visitation will be private.

The Everett family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
