Mr. Alan Eugene Pickle

Mr. Alan Eugene Pickle, age 64 passed away Friday, August 27, 2020 at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA.

Mr. Pickle was born March 25, 1956, in Trion, GA  to the late Frank Pickle and Mildred Bowman.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his Step Father, Rommie Bowman; Step-Mother, Gloria Pickle.  Mr. Pickle has been a long time resident of Oakview Nursing Home in Summerville where the staff of the nursing home had become his family.  He was loved by the staff and will be greatly missed and mourned by all his family there at the nursing home.

Survivors include one brother, Frankie Pickle.

A Graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Pickle will be held Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 10:00 AM at West Hill Cemetery in Trion officiated by Brother Greg Koonce .  Active Pallbearers will be Yogi Hegwood, Chris Boman, Dewayne Chamblee, Henry Covington, Nathan Hegwood, Frank Pickle and Greg Plunkett.  Honoary Pallbearers will be Friend, Elvin Patterson, and the Staff of Oakview Nursing Home.  

There will be no visitation for Mr. Pickle.

The Pickle family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
