Ms. Nancy Ann Adams, age 77, of Rome, GA, died Sunday, September 6, 2026, at her residence.

Ms. Adams was born December 2, 1948, in LaFayette, GA, daughter of the late David Harrison Starkey and Thelma Nelle Chandler Starkey.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a teacher at Coosa Valley Technical College.

Survivors include her son, James "Jim" (Casey) Bowers; brother, David R. (Daline) Starkey; and a sister, Phyllis (Bo) Bowden.  She's also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and her beloved cat, Zima.

Graveside and interment services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 11, 2026, at West Hill Cemetery with Pastor Brent Wells officiating.  Pallbearers will be David Starkey, Devin Starkey, Dason Starkey, and Kendall Coffman.

Ms. Adams will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 10, 2026.
