Ms. Markela
Finley
Sep 2, 1966 — Feb 9, 2025
Rome, GA
Ms. Markela Amanda Finley was born in Summerville, GA, to Hazel Finley Price and the late John Robert Finley.
Markela attended the school systems of Chattooga County. She really enjoyed cheerleading throughout her high school years, while setting history by being one of the first 3 young women who cheered for the Summerville Junior High School and Chattooga High School Football Teams! She was a proud graduate of CHS Class of 1985!
Markela walked in the Agape Love of Jesus! She loved to clean and take care of family and others; that was her passion. There wasn't one person that she wouldn't do anything for. That is who she was and she didn't let anyone sway her character.
Smiling down with her loved ones who preceded her in death are her father, John Robert Finley; grandparents, Lovett and Surlina Ryles Johnson, William and Lillie Mae Finley; special aunt, Evelyn K. Bankston; sister, Cynthia Moreland; a host of aunts and uncles; and special friend, Debbie Perry.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother and step-father, Hazel Finley (Mark) Price; brothers, Pastor Undra Finley, Theron Finley, and Fitzgerald Stubbs; sister, Chelsea Y. Fleetwood; aunt, Annie Mae Johnson; special nieces, British L. (Kenya) Finley and Briana L. Finley; special cousins, Eddie Farmer, Shasta Hall; step-children, Erica Broadwater, Kristen Kemp; best friends, Neicy Smith, Kippi Foster, Amy Sellers, Albertina Neves, Tina Jet; family friend, Larry Bostick; and a host of cousins, nieces, and other dear friends.
Services for Ms. Finley will be held privately.
