Ms. Jimmie Louise "Boots" Sloan Brooks, age 95, of Summerville, GA, died Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Riverwood Senior Living Center.

Ms. Brooks was born December 30, 1930, in Pisgah, AL, daughter of the late Samuel W. Sloan and Vonnie Lee Sartin Sloan.  She was a homemaker and a member of the North Summerville Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Byron Joe Brooks; daughter, Norma Kay Brooks; sisters, Edna Coffee, Mona Rae Rousseau, and Jewell Welch; and the father of her children, Marvin "Bill" Brooks.

Survivors include her sons, Marvin (Teresa) Brooks, Calvin (Marie) Brooks; daughter, Kay (Mike) Fulmer; brother, Sammy (Cindy) Sloan; sisters, Sandra Gann, Diane (Don) Thomas; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; special niece, Lynn Rousseau; and several other nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, Ms. Brooks was cremated and there are no formal services planned at this time.
